Welcome to my blog! In January 2016, I decided that my New Years resolution would be to ‘go jarless’ in the kitchen. By that, I mean making as much of my food from scratch as possible. I decided to take on this challenge as jars of sauces contain a lot of sugar and are expensive. Also, I’m lactose intolerant, which means that a lot of food is off limits unless I cook it myself.
Throughout 2016, my culinary skills improved greatly (I burnt rice so badly at University that it stunk the whole house out) and my food shopping bills have decreased drastically.
